Hier kommen unsere Lieblingsstrecken. Exploring the city by bike Anyone can go sightseeing on a bus. So set off by bike instead through the city on the Elbe and get to know Hamburg in the best way. Here are our favourite routes. (1) Blick auf das Ufer der Binnenalster mit Hamburgs Skyline. A view over the Inner Alster promenade with the skyline of Hamburg beyond. (2) Hier trifft sich Hamburg zum Chillen und Gucken: die Strandperle, direkt auf dem Elbstrand. Where Hamburg meets to chill and people-watch: the Strandperle, right on the Elbstrand beach. (3) Schwim- mender Ponton auf der Norderelbe: das charmante Café Entenwerder 1. Floating pontoon on the Norderel- be: delightful Café Entenwerder 1. (4) Vom Elbpark Entenwerder kann man einige autof- reie Kilometer in freier Natur bis nach Bergedorf radeln. From Elbpark Entenwerder, you can cycle several car-free kilometres, out into the countryside and all the way to Bergedorf. Binnen- und Außenalster Sie starten vom MADISON in Rich- tung Rödingsmarkt. Weiter geht’s am Rathaus vorbei über den Jungfernstieg, am Ufer der Binnenalster zur Lombardsbrücke, hier genießen Sie den Ausblick. Wer’s ruhiger mag, fährt dann am Nordwestufer der Außenalster weiter zum Alsterpark – zwischen Schwänen, Gänsen, Segelschiffen und viel Grün bietet dieses herrliche Plätzchen Ruhe und Entspannung pur. > Strecke ca. 2,4 km bzw. ca. 4,1 km Elbpark Entenwerder Die Strecke Richtung Osten führt Sie durch die HafenCity, dem neusten Stadtteil Hamburgs: Vom MADISON fahren Sie über den Baumwall vorbei an der Elphi zum Sandtorkai in Rich- tung HafenCity Universität. Von dort geht’s durch das Neubaugebiet des Baakenhafens direkt zu den Elbbrücken. Diese unterqueren Sie und fahren weiter nach Rothenburgsort zum Elbpark Entenwerder. Eine Stärkung gibt’s im stylishen Café Entenwerder 1, das seinen Platz auf einem schwimmenden Ponton gefunden hat – Elbblick, Leute, kleinere Schiffe und Baken gucken inklusive. Wer mag: Über die Gewerbegebiete Billbrook und Moorfleet führt diese schöne Route raus bis zur Stadtgrenze nach Bergedorf. > Strecke ca. 5,4 km Inner and Outer Alster Set off from the MADISON towards Rödingsmarkt. Pass the city hall and go onto Jungfernstieg, along the shore of the Binnenalster (Inner Alster) to Lombardsbrücke, where you can enjoy the view. If you fancy something quieter, continue along the north-west shore of the Outer Alster until you reach the Alsterpark. With its swans, geese, yachts and greenery, it’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet. > Distance around 2.4 km / 4.1 km Elbpark Entenwerder Cycling east takes you through HafenCity, Hamburg’s newest district. From the MADISON, go along Baum- wall, past the Elphi, to Sandtorkai in the direction of HafenCity University. From there you pass through the new development of Baakenhafen and on towards the Elbbrücken. Cycle beneath these and continue towards Rothenburgsort until you reach Elbpark Entenwerder. Refreshments are available at the stylish Café Entenwerder 1, which is situated on a floating pontoon and offers a view of the Elbe, passers-by, little boats and buoys. If you like, you can continue along this fine route through the industrial areas of Billbrook and Moorfleet, towards Bergedorf, all the way to the city limits. > Distance around 5.4 km Strandperle und Elbstrand Ein Muss für jeden Besucher: Der Elbstrand. Über Vorsetzen, Landungs- brücken und die St. Pauli Hafenstraße fahren Sie am Fischmarkt vorbei und immer weiter an der Elbe entlang bis zum Museumshafen Oevelgönne – der ebenfalls einen Abstecher wert ist. Dort schließen Sie das Rad ab und gehen die letzten 200 Meter zum Strand, über dem die berühmten Kapi- tänshäuser thronen, zu Fuß. Mitten auf dem Strand finden Sie eine Hamburger Institution: die Strandperle. Nicht zu übersehen, denn hier ist es fast immer voll. Trotzdem findet jeder seinen Platz. Mit den Füßen im Sand und einem Kaltgetränk in der Hand kann man dann herrlich die vorbeifahrenden Containerschiffe bewundern. Tipp: hervorragende Fischbrötchen! > Strecke ca. 5,3 km Strandperle and Elbstrand A must for every visitor: Elbstrand beach. Pass along Vorsetzen, Landungsbrücken and St. Pauli Hafenstraße, past the fish market, continuing along the Elbe until you reach Museumshafen Oevelgönne – which is also worth a look in. Lock up your bike and walk the last 200 m to the beach, over which the famous captains’ houses stand proud. In the middle of this beach you will find a Hamburg institution called the Strandperle. You can’t miss it, as it’s almost always full, but everyone finds a seat somehow. With your feet in the sand and a cold drink in your hand, it’s a great price to admire container vessels as they sail past. And don’t miss out on the delicious fish rolls. > Distance around 5.3 km Leihen Sie Ihr Fahrrad direkt im MADISON!
